The objective of the abuse policy is to comply with the seven-step approach to abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The abuse policy should be put in place by all home care agencies for the safety of their clients. This policy can help the agency to stay in compliance. This policy should also be reviewed on an annual basis or more frequently and will be integrated into agency Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
